I played trumpet from grammar school through high school and then in the Navy Memphis band. As most of us did, I put away my instrument and did not pick it up again until about 5-6 years ago. I, along with a few others, started a group called the Pacemakers which eventually developed into the Upswing Band. I currently sing in a barbershop group and belong to a couple of ensembles.
