New Horizons Band

I had piano lessons as a child and as an adult learned to play the Irish tin whistle.

Statement about New Horizons Band:  

Although I did not know how to play any band instrument, New Horizons Band welcomed me as a member and allowed me to pick which instrument I wanted to learn. I took a couple of months to learn the rudiments of the clarinet (using a rented instrument) and then began attending band rehearsals. Band members have been both very patient and very supportive of my efforts. This is an open, easy-going group, and I am very happy to be a part of it. I have had to work hard, but have found "making music" as part of a group to be a very satisfying experience.
