Piano lessons all through high school. Accompanied mix chorus and sang in selected octets
Chorus, large church choir (from 7th grade on) group specialized in classics and "serious" music as well as traditional regular Sunday anthems etc.
College - Full minor in church music and on staff of several churches over the years. Director Music Methodist church for 3 year period.
Added cello, played string quartet 15 years. In large churches played with orchestra for major works. Played harmonica since a child and putting my knowledge in smaller instruments. Do a lot of arranging for small groups, and research etc.
Statement about New Horizons Band: First contact was a sensible adult who enjoyed the group. Good direction given and I visited,. It was pleasant and very enjoyable. Serious about music but here for pleasure and friendliness of group. I totally rearranged my schedule - Friday is my day of pleasure as part of a nice group.
